OMG! I don’t know how I manage to miss out on the 42 Annual NAACP Image Awards. As you know by now, the Awards show went down this past weekend. The night was full of elegant black class at its best. It’s refreshng to see a night filled with our African-American brother and sisters being honored for the remarkable work they put in for the entertainment industry. God knows we didn’t get our credit for our actors when the Acadamy Awards Ceremony a few weeks ago.
The evening gave many surprises of the night, Hip Hop Legends Ice Cube and LL Cool J were winners but not for there lyrical abilities. LL receieved Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for CBS’ “NCIS:Los Angeles”. Cube Won for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Role for his Hit Show “Are WE There Yet?” Other winners on Friday night included Halle Berry, Samuel L. Jackson, Denzel Washington, Terrence Howard, and Tyler Perry. The NAACP Image Awards aired live on Fox from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
