Apparently Rihanna’s 2007 single “Umbrella” has been raining down money on R&B star The-Dream. The-Dream was recently a guest on Tim Westwood’s BBC Radio 1Xtra show where he revealed that he has made 15-million dollars off the hit song. The-Dream, who wrote “Umbrella,” joked that he’s been using the money to pay for his kids and his ex-wives. One of The-Dream’s former wives is fellow singer Christina Milian. The couple announced their separation in 2010 after just a few months together. The-Dream says that while it was reported that another woman came in between their marriage, that actually wasn’t the case. He explains that their relationship was “really rushed,” adding that neither of them were ready to tie the knot.
The-Dream also went on to reveal that Christina wasn’t actually a co-writer on Justin Bieber’s smash hit “Baby.” He explains that he put her name on the track as a favor because he’s “generous.”
