Eminem’s incredibly successful 2010 has earned him some major praise from MTV. Over the weekend the network announced that Em was this year’s pick for “The Hottest MC In The Game.” While Eminem helped his stock with appearances on B.o.B.’s “Airplanes” and Lil Wayne’s “Drop The World,” it was his multi-platinum “Recovery” record that catapulted him to the top of the list. The record sold 741-thousand copies in its first week thanks in large part to the singles “Not Afraid” and “Love The Way You Lie.” “Not Afraid” debuted at number one on the Hot 100 back in May, while “Love The Way You Lie” spent seven consecutive weeks at the chart’s top spot. MTV Jams’ Tuma Bass discussed Eminem’s success saying, quote, “This time, he came like, ‘I came to play.’ And the records have this motivational anthemic type [of feel] we haven’t seen in him. He’s stepping into a new space.”
Following Eminem on this year’s list of the “Hottest MCs” is rap icon Jay-Z. Controversial emcee Kanye West sits at number three, while Drake is number four. Miami rap star Rick Ross rounds out the top five. I cant say that I am feeling any parts of this list  …

Of course Eminem is the hottest MC in the game because his lyrical ability and creativity in ryhming words that others say connect be done is pure talent. Also, his ability to touch both the white market and black market on a big scale when it comes to album sales is just amazing. Next, making it in the hip hop community as a white person is not an easy process especially while training yourself in what words will be excepted by the black community as being ok.
