The homie Tyler, the Creator sat down with Larry King and opened up about HATING rap music and want to be viewed as a singer.

Who would have guessed that the homie Tyler, the Creator hated being a rapper? He has risen to amazing heights in HIP HOP. Did you know he accidentally caused a riot at South by Southwest.
In an interview on Larry King Now, Tyler says he finds it irritating that people refer to him as a “rapper”and wants to do more singing. He even noted he has a deep voice that doesn’t always do what he wants and has been listening to a lot of Barry White and Isaac Hayes in hopes to perfect it. He says,
“It puts you in this box. … I’m talented enough to do other things. I don’t know, I’m pretty bored with it. It’s not interesting.”
Tyler also said he’d like to start making films. He goes on to say,
“I want people to mention my name next to Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino. I don’t want my name to be mentioned next to other rappers. At all.”
In addition to his love for music he loves Jennifer Lawrence. He confides,
“I love Jennifer Lawrence. If you watching this, leave the n—a you with!”
