The Community Angel Foundation in Philly kicked off their inaugural “Angel Awards” to honor leaders who empower youth and support the mission of the non-profit organization which connects successful business and community leaders with students in an effort to educate them on overcoming obstacles. The big homie Usher Raymond was one of the honorees and he accepted his award via video at the event.
Usher is coaching a team and that prevented him from appearing at the Award Ceremony. He discussed his desire to help the community and disadvantaged children in particular. Usher is an 8-Time Grammy Award Winner and current judge on “The Voice,” and he still make time to give back. We were delighted to hear about Usher’s accomplishment and to share Community Angels Foundationwith you guys.
Community Angels Foundation is under the leadership of Veniece Newton. CommAngels is making huge moves in Philly by connecting the city’s movers and shakers to help inspire philanthropy in regards to helping the children in the community. The event took place on June 5th at the famed Hotel Monaco and among those honored along with Usher was Michael Rashid, President of AmeriHealth Mercy; Joe Lake, Co-Founder of Children’s Miracle Network and Donahue Peebles, President/CEO of Peebles Corporation & Forbes List Real Estate Mogul.
As we can see the big homie was in amazing company.
In addition to his award he was given a custom pair of shoes to rock at his next concert!
