As an International superstar Brown opened up to MTV about his beginnings and how he started his musical career. MTV’s series, ‘This Is How I Made It,” is an inspirational show dedicated to those who saw rises and falls in their careers and how the made it. Â Brown didn’t always have it so good he grew up in Tappahannock, Virginia and money was difficult for his family. He was very active in sports, dancing and theater but music was always most important.
Brown talked about the moment he felt he made it, his struggles with public opinion and his struggle to get back on the positive limelight.
“My legacy can hopefully show [people] that once you’re down, that don’t just mean you’re down forever.”
