The new year is just getting started, but Jay-Z is already looking ahead to New Year’s Eve 2014. The rapper told the packed crowd at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center Monday night that he plans on continuing to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Coldplay at the Brooklyn Nets‘ home. He told the audience that his goal “is to do this every year.”

He then got the crowd pumped up by making sure they would rock with him in 2014. Hova took the Barclays Center’s stage just before the stoke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. The rapper and Coldplay’s Chris Martin then rang in the new year by singing “Auld Lang Syne” before Jay launched into his 25-song set, which he appropriately began with “Run This Town.” Jay covered most of his major hits, including “Big Pimpin’,” “Can I Get A…,” “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” and “Encore.”

Towards the end of his nearly two hour show Jay paused to reflect on 2012. He called 2012 a “major year” for him, citing the birth of his daughter Blue Ivy with his wife Beyonce Knowles. Jay went on to say that his second major achievement of 2012 was the inauguration of the Barclays Center. The rapper played an integral role in the building’s development, and even owns a stake in the Brooklyn Nets. As he was wrapping up he wished the audience “the best 2013 possible.”
