Singer Donna Summer will reportedly be laid to rest in her adopted hometown of Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday. TMZ says the service will be private, although one-thousand guests are expected to attend the church ceremony by invitation only. The Boston-born Summer died last Thursday in Florida after a battle with cancer. She was 63. Summer is survived by her husband Bruce Sudano and three daughters. The singer, known as the “Queen of Disco,” moved to the country music capital with her family in 1994. It was there in Nashville that she resumed her second passion after singing – painting – which she parlayed into a successful second career. According to the “Kansas City Star,” Summer once said in a 1996 interview that she had sold almost one-million-dollars worth of paintings in her short career as a canvas artist.
