I have to say I was kinda shocked to hear that my Alma Mata Clark Atlanta University is adding the late King of Pop to its curriculum. The school has announced plans to offer a new MBA course that examines how Michael Jackson built his billion dollar empire. The course, which will be taught by veteran entertainment attorney James Walker, p.s. he won’t be teaching students how to moonwalk. It will, however, teach them how Jackson revolutionized legal practices about entertainment-related copyright law. Walker has many high-profile clients, including actor Jamie Foxx. He says the course will allow him to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how the music industry works.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Clark Atlanta will be the first university to offer a masters level course on Jackson. Wednesday marked what would have been the singer’s 54th birthday. Jackson died suddenly in 2009 while preparing for a series of comeback concerts. Shout out to CAU for making big moves, and being different…
See yall at homecoming
