Pop singer Kelly Rowland recently released “Dirty Laundry“, a single from her upcoming album “Talk A Good Game“. Jaws are sure to hit the floor after listening to “Dirty Laundry“. The controversial song was written and produced by The-Dream and shares Kelly’s experiences with an abusive boyfriend and the jealousy she experienced with Beyoncé‘s success after Destiny’s Child went their separate ways.
In an interview with Billboard Magazine, Kelly expressed how hard it was for her to record “Dirty Laundry”:
“It was very emotional. It took me days to record. I had to get past being so upset and actually sing the song, not sob through it. I always hope that my music can inspire someone, the same way other artists inspire me. Dream said, ‘I want to write you a record so that people will know exactly who you are, underneath it all.'”

Wow! I never expected to hear something like this coming from Kelly Rowland. But kudos to Ms. Rowland for her transparency about her life issues, especially in addressing the domestic abuse that she experienced. I hope this song will be a wake-up call for someone who may be experiencing the same thing that Kelly Rowland experienced.
“Talk A Good Game” is set to be released on June 18th on Republic Records.
