“Water for Elephants” director Francis Lawrence is sharing a few more details about his latest video collaboration with Beyonce, but he’s careful not to reveal too much. Lawrence told MTV News that the singer is already unhappy with the information that’s leaked so far, joking that, quote,
“She would probably have me shot if I said anything.”
But the director risked his life just enough to tell fans that the clip is indeed the lead single from Beyonce’s upcoming album and that the track is called “Girls.” Lawrence, who also shot Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance,” didn’t say much about the rumors surrounding the shoot — including the reported 200 African dancers and eight choreographers — but he did say that it will be “big.”
Lawrence also says the song itself is “unbelievable” and he hopes it turns into another huge hit for the pop star. There is still no title or fixed release date for the album, but it is reportedly expected some time this June.
