Singer Kelly Rowland is safely back on land after she and a group of friends were rescued during a boat trip in Provincetown, Massachusetts. According to the “Provincetown Banner,” the Destiny’s Child singer had rented a private boat with four friends for a day of whale watching on Friday. The paper says they lost control of their boat when hitting a patch of sea with winds gusting at 30 miles-per-hour and haze that created low visibility.
The group contacted the Coast Guard, who escorted the star and her pals back to Provincetown at 10:30 p.m. that night. It looks like Kelly has recovered from her adventure, as “Us Weekly” reports that she was spotted shopping around town the following day.
