Two rectangles have the same area of 70m2. It is given that the length of the first rectangle is 4m longer and the width is 2m shorter than the dimensions of the second rectangle. Find the lengths of the sides of these rectangles.

The answer is the first rectangle has the length 14 m and the width 5 m. The second rectangle has the length 10 m and the width 7 m.

The equation is...
70=(70/y+4)*(y-2)     {y= width of the first rectangle}
and when you solve you get y is either -5 or 7 and because -5 doesn't make sense y is equal to 7
