The answer is Pablo Picasso because a mask, that was shown to him by Henri Matisse, sparked his interest. And with Picasso's African influence  followed with the style known as Analytic Cubism. Georges Braque, joined by Jean Metzinger, Albert Gleizes, Robert Delaunay, Henri Le Fauconnier, and Fernand Léger also helped form Analytic Cubism.
