Once there was a grocer named Lala. He was very cunning and greedy. For his own profit, he mixed some things to his items and sold them. He combined stones with pulses, colored sand in spices, oil in butter etc. the villagers were poor, but they had no choice but to buy things from Lala. The villagers complained to him, but he turned a deaf ear as his was the only grocery store in the village. One day, the king heard about the cheating done by the grocer. at once, he ordered his guards to bring Lala to him. the guards bought Lala to the king. The king told: ala "you have been cheating to the villagers from so many days. now you will get the punishment. Choose your punishment. So, you want to get 100 times beaten or you will drink 2 glasses of your own butter mixed with oil?"
"I am sorry O' king. please forgive me i ensure you I won't do it again."
"Please move forward and choose your punishment“, said the king. The grocer said, "I choose to be beaten 100 times."
The guards got a stick and started beating him and counting - 1,2,3,4,5,6.....25.
"I can't bear it anyone’ll said. "I choose to drink the butter mixed with oil."
The guards bought him his butter which he mixed with oil. after drinks half-a glass of water Lala told the king "I am really sorry for my greediness. Please forgive me. I promise to you i won't cheat anyone now.
The king set free grocer free.
From that day forth, Lala stopped cheated anyone and lived a life of truthfulness.
