Read the following excerpt and answer the question. Have we failed? I often think we have. Why does Wiesel believe this? Genocide and war continue across the globe. People live in fear because they do not value forgetting. Survivors of the Holocaust no longer bear witness through memory. It is impossible to convey the enormity of the Holocaust and be believed.

i believe that wilson feels like we have failed because we let people down and now they are living in fear but no one wants to remember what they had to go through it was a very dramatic experience for them to go through. but they can't forget about what happen to them
