There are many similarities and differences between these civilizations, some of the similarities are, annual flooding left fertile soil, fertile soil is great for farming. They had surplus amounts of food, which allowed specialized jobs. They used the river to trade. All worshipped many gods, they built large temples and, they had rules. Now, the differences are, all used different rivers, Indus Valley; Cities were planned in a grid, some places believed in after life. Some people too.

for hook or first sentence of the compare and contrast essay use a sentence like did you know the Indus Valley invented indoor plumbing? Or did you know Egypt believed in the afterlife, ya know something factual, not boring, something that a reader will like or find interesting and want to continue to read for the second third and fourth sentences write how civilizations started, like the first civilization was Sumer, next came Egypt, then Indus valley came, and finally china..
