C. Romanticism began as a rejection of classicism.
Chronologically, Classicism belongs to the 18th century. This literary and arts movement puts the focus on the truth and does not consider feelings important. At the beginning of the 19th century, Romanticism puts the focus on feelings and nature; the artists from this movement reject things made by men. Then, at the end of the 19th century, Realism emerges. This movement is interested in showing things as they really are. The artists from this movement are not interested in emotions.
Confucianism is a Chinese way of thought. This is from the Easten cultural world.
