Efficiency or [tex]\eta[/tex] is calculated by formula: [tex]\eta=\frac{W_{output}}{W_{input}}[/tex] where [tex]\eta\leq1[/tex] also efficiency has no unit.
Now put in the data and calculate the efficiency.
[tex]\eta=\frac{8}{10}=\boxed{0.8}[/tex]
The efficiency of the machine is 0.8
If you want to get percentage just multiply by 100 and you get 80%
