Greece invented elections,structured learning(philosophy,poetry and the « educated class » Greece was also the first civilization since Greek to keep meticulous records on medicine,the arts,and learning so Rome’s ambitions leaned that way as they aspired to be a great and wealthy empire. What they didn’t like about Greece was the homosexuality of the male population and didn’t like how they were so open about its practices.
