Answer:

I had big expectations about "Citizen Kane" due to many people's opinion and recommendations and the overall popularity of the story in general and being admired as an all times masterpiece; after experiencing it for the first time the one thing that made an impression was the bold cinematography, the fearless framing and audacious ways how the director uses clever camera shots and asymmetrical composition to set the attention and express the narrative providing a distinctive soul to the story, which in spite of being released about 80 years ago, it feels fresh, contemporary and relevant to the present.

A timeless story, which undoubtedly displays the wonderful talent of Orson Welles who at such a young age directed his very first film with grandiosity to frame, weave and relate the events of various stages of humanity.

After discussing the film with others, my opinion gained not just assertion but got inspired by how the film succeeds in resonating with a diverse deal of audiences up until these days; I learned something that didn't occurred to me before, from other people's perception such as how they noticed the characters been carefully arranged in tridimensional space, pointing out the use of "flashbacks" throughout, which gave it more depth. I got surprised on how aspects of the film I thought were merely personal assumptions of mine were held by others in a strikingly similar way, particularly how impressed they were with the blatant technical innovation employed to propose a story of the complications of power and wealth in society, which turned out to be a historical epic.
