4 = y of one
1 = x of two
2 = y of two
So...

Now, we just subtract across, and we get 2/2. That means the slope is one.
Let's move on to slope intercept form. This form is basically
y = mx + b.
The m is the slope, the b is the y intercept.
In the example of Y = 3x + 8,
The slope is 3, and the y intercept is (0,8)
