1. Like the Great garbage patch in the pacific which is twice the size of Texas, most plastics in the patch are microscopic level meaning plastic wouldn't disappear, but will be staying in the ocean.

2. Since plastic breaks down into little pieces, fishes might consider some plastic as food due to its small size and consume it. Due to plastic not disintegrating, it will be staying in the fishes body forever.

3. Plastics such as plastic packing band can become deadly on certain marine species. For one being sea lions. Sea lions don't have fingers but flippers, by being entangled with it at an early age, it would be deadly as they grow old due to their growing size. When a sea lion becomes an adult with plastic packing band, the Sea Lion is getting chocked with its size growing.
