A girl is x years old and her brother is 5 years older than her. (1) Find the sum of their ages. (2) If their father is 25 years older than the girl, what is the difference between the zum of yhe children's age and their fathers age

1) Sum = x + (x+5) = 2x + 5 years

2) Difference = 2x + 5 - (x + 25) = 2x + 5 - x - 25 = x -20
