a)The image relates to the sino-japanese war which was a dispute between the Qing dynasty and Japanese Empire over influence in Joseon Korea. So this image depicts what was happening in the western pacific during the late 19th century which was a ideology called imperialism. This was occurring because countries wanted to expand there control economically and politically over other regions typically surrounding ones. 

b)The image depicted shows how countries wanted to expand there control over other regions and use there resources to better there own economy. One example of this is when countries began sending people to the Americas to use its resources for the better of their own countries. 

c)The image shows how imperialism effected the relationships between European powers and Japan was quickly changing because competition for land in places like Africa and Asia were being taken up and resources in these areas were becoming valuable to all of the countries involved to build there empires.
