The language of poetry can generally be described as all the following except wordy. The word ‘wordy’ means using too many words to describe something. Poetry, on the other hand is usually short, precise and coveys are deeper meaning. Connotation is an important part of poetry. Not to be forgotten that most of the poems are usually rhythmic to keep the interest of the reader and are figurative as well.
