In a free country, people can say anything they want. They have the right to be informed. For that to happen, freedom of the press is a requirement. Media outlets and newspapers need to go look for the news from many sources, not only the government, as happens in non-democratic countries where dictators control information and only communicate what the consider necessary and no more.
