To find one intercept, you'll need to set the other one to 0.
For instance: x intercept: y=0
y intercept: x=0
X Intercept: 0= 3x-12
Add 12 to both sides to isolate x.
0+12= 3x-12+12
12= 3x
Divide both sides by 3.
12/3=3x/3
4= x intercept
Y Intercept: You could plug in x as 0 and solve, but a quick way to find it in a slope-intercept equation is to look at the number at the end (without the x.) In this problem it would be -12. Hope this helps! :) Let me know if you need any additional helps.
