The answer is D: Sympathetic
Miep Gies was one of the persons who helped Anna Frank, her family and four other people to hide from the Nazis in the mid of 1900s. She helped by sharing information about the war's progress, bringing food, other supplies and comforts to "the Secret Annex" (the hideout where the family was).
The best term that describes her is definitely "sympathetic". As Anna herself wrote on her diary: "Without people like Miep and her husband and friends, in dark times, all hope would be lost."
