You will write a two-paragraph essay detailing how the state and the federal governments work together to improve the lives of American citizens. The first paragraph should give an example of how states work together. The second paragraph should give at least one example of the ways in which the states work with the federal government.

Each paragraph should be at least four complete sentences long.

Working Together Federal, state, and local governments work together to build roads. City governments cooperate on common interests. Serving the Public Federal government gives grants-in-aid and block grants to state and local governments. State and local governments assure citizens' quality of life.
