This ultimately implies that, a distribution system comprises of multiple network nodes that are separated physically but interconnected (linked) and communicates with each other, through the use of a network.

Basically, a distribution system is made up of network devices or machines such as servers, containers, computers, virtual machines, etc. Also, each of these network devices or machines has its end users respectively but works toward a common goal and as such making the end users view it's output as a single coherent system.
