The French and Indian War did not c. cause the British to implement salutary neglect.

The policy of Salutary Neglect meant that as long as the American colonies were loyal to the British Crown:

  • the British did not enforce the trade restrictions they had imposed on the colonies
  • the British would not meddle much in the internal governing of the American colonies

This policy existed before the French and Indian war and actually ended as a result of the war.

We can therefore conclusively say that the implementation of Salutary Neglect was not influenced by the French and Indian War.
