Deaf Clubs were an important place for Deaf people to gather and socialize. However, as Black Deaf people were not allowed, they formed their own clubs. This refers to the unjust treatment of a person based on various factors which can be as a result of race, gender, etc.

With this in mind, we can see that even among the deaf, there was still great discrimination where the black deaf people were not allowed to join Deaf Clubs as a result of their race.

This development led them to form their own clubs and socialise and gather and share stories as the racial segregation did not deter or stop them.
