Janet has three times as many dimes as nickels and twice as many quarters as nickels. If she has $3.40 in all, how many nickels, dimes, and quarters does she have? If n represents the number of nickels Janet has, which of the following equations could be used to solve the problem?

Or

4 nickels = $0.20
12 dimes = $1.20
8 Quarters = $2.00

Total = $3.40

The answer above is correct but out of the answers it is asking for the correct one is

5 n + 10 n + 25 n = 340
