Jessica has 34 of the money needed to buy the meal deal and Callista has half of the money needed to buy the meal deal. If the meal deal was $3 cheaper, then together they would have exactly enough money to buy two of the meal deals.

  • Callista = 1/2x

3/4x + 1/2x = 2x - 3
