Pride can get in the way of learning things. It can cause people pain. If you have too much pride then it will cause you to push people away. In the Korean Drama, My Father Is Strange, the landlord had too much pride and wouldn't let her son marry the person he loved because she was too "poor". This caused her son to leave. It caused him to leave and disappear. He had applied to transfer to Vietnam and left. He broke up with the girl he loved because she didn't want to get married. In the end, she was forced to apologize to the girl for being mean to her and her family and beg her to help her find her son. This shows that having too much pride can make you loose the ones you love.
