Alright, let's use Alka-Seltzer tablets as an example
These are made with ingredients like sodium bicarbonate. When you toss one int the water, the sodium bicarbonate splits apart in a chemical reaction and forms sodium and bicarbonate ions, separate. This releases a ton of CO2 bubbles really fast. 

In order for this reaction to even HAPPEN, the sodium and bicarbonate ions have to come into contact with the hydrogen ions JSUT the right way, otherwise, the reaction might not happen. The variable that can influence this: temperature. The hotter the temperature, the faster the molecules heat up and start bouncing around, the colder the temperature, the longer it takes for the molecules to get to moving. 

Using this info, you can form a hypothesis:

In chemical weathering, the hotter the temperature, the faster the reaction will take place, the lower the temperature, the longer the reaction will take. 

Or you can use something along those lines.
