Jakob is stuck in the airport on a long layover while traveling for work. He sees two Wi-Fi’s he can log onto: one says Airport Wi-Fi and the other says Free Airport Wi-Fi. He needs to sign on and pay some bills. Which Wi-Fi option should he choose?

The probability of a larger population inside that airport using free Wi-Fi is 9 out of 10, against a few people who would choose to log on to a more secure connection. People would always choose the easy way to get things done. Accessing a free Wi-Fi zone exposes a user to a threat of hacking. While on a free connection; a large percentage of users are into social media, some may be sharing photos and videos, others are opening their emails or doing online banking and there are those who are just waiting for their next would-be-victim. 
Since Jakob will be logging into his account to pay his bills, it is wiser to use a secured Wi-Fi connection to protect his personal information.

There are many airport authorizations are attaching Free Wi-Fi with high-speed internet access as a convenience for passengers. Some allow access to the whole airport while others may restrict access to the specified terminal or waiting zones. In addition, multiple airline VIP lounges may have their personal free access to internet access.

Now since he is required to pay normal bills which are usually secure to pay from anywhere. It would be best for Jakob to request the airline lounge staff to let him use the Free Wifi in order for him to pay his bills in the adhered time. This would be a better option rather than spending money on Airport Wifi to pay his bills.
