Adam Smith is the author of the book Wealth of Nations. This book was used as a basis for forming America’s economy. Smith focused on several key factors like specialization, meaning that each individual should focus on a specific trait/job to perform rather than trying to be decent at all jobs. Along with this, he also emphasizes how government should be involved as little as possible. He argues that instead, businesses who compete each other will lead to what is best for consumers. This concept is known as the invisible hand.
