The term for Arab nomads is Bedouin. It also means “desert dwellers ”. It refers to groups who live in the Arabian
and Syrian deserts. The Bedouins’
territory extends from the deserts of North Africa to rocky islands on the
Middle East. They live in tribes and herd
goats and camels as part of their livestock.
They value the camel as a source transportation as well as food and
water. Despite the harsh conditions that
they live in, they adapted very well to desert life.
