the nervous system has many parts and organ each of the organs has a specific job to do in order survive

The nervous system is a collection of nerves and neurons (specialized cells of the nervous system). The nervous system can be divided into two parts the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system.

What is the nervous system?

A system that includes the brain, sense organs, spinal cord, and collection of nerves. It receives stimuli interprets and sends responses accordingly. It transmits nerve impulses between different parts of the body and acts like the body’s command system.      

Functions of the nervous system can be listed below:-

  • It voluntarily controls body movement.
  • Help in maintaining body homeostasis.
  • Responsible for memory and learning.
  • Spinal cord reflexes are because of the nervous system.   

Symptoms of failure of the nervous system include persistent headache, memory loss, loss of vision, impaired mental ability, etc.

Common disorders of the nervous system are Epilepsy, Stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s, ALS, etc.
