It increased tensions between Britain and the U.S. because
as American settlers began to spread towards Native American territories and
many of them resented the encroachment of white settlers in their
territories. During this time, the
British began to support Indians who raided American settlements. This led to
the war of 1812 where the British and American fought again. Apart from supporting Indians, the British
also took sailors from American ships on the grounds that they were
deserters. Eventually the Indians were
removed from their ancestral land and relocated to reservations found in
Federal territory.
American settlers began to transgress onto Native American land and Britain supported the Native Americans. This caused the War of 1812.
