In the October issue of GQ Magazine, Idris Elba talks candidly about discovering the second child he thought was his baby was not his biological child. Idris was not the father! In 2010 Idris Elba was on top of the world he announced the birth of his second child a son while doing press for the movie, The Losers. He then told Essence Magazine that he only had a daughter. Well in GQ Idris tells the story about finding out about the baby and his thoughts.

Idris Elba told GQ Magazine that having a son was one of the happiest moments in his life until he found out the truth. He said,

“The celebration of  having a son from the male’s perspective, it’s massive.”

But the celebration was short lasted because something was off about the baby. He tells GQ,

It wasn’t immediately obvious  – well it was because he didn’t look like me.  But it wasn’t immediately obvious what had gone down. Idris decided to have a paternity test done which revealed that his girlfriend, Desiree Newberry’s child was not his. WHAT? That’s a mess. Idris had this to say about finding out about the baby,

“To be given that and then have it taken away so harshly, was like taking a full-on punch in the face: POW. You know, the truth is—like, even admitting it, I’ll probably get laughed at for the rest of my life. But it is just tragic, and it happened. But I wasn’t knocked out. I stood right the f–k back up, and I ain’t aiming to take another punch in the face ever again. Do you understand what I’m saying? It happened to me. I moved on.  I’ve not been an angel in my life, either – do you know what I’m saying? So to a certain extent, what goes around comes around.  But for me in the future, I’m about being comfortable. That’s it.”
