Kendrick Lamar never claimed to be a fashion icon, but the California rapper made the cover of GQ’s Men of the Year issue. He even nabbed the title “The Next King of Rap”!
The 26-year-old Cali native made waves in 2012 that landed him in the top spot in 2013. In this issue he talks about his controversial “Control” verse that sparked some beef with Drake and commented that now they are “Pretty cool,” but added: “I mean, I would be okay if we weren’t.”
He also made a point to go to Diddy‘s MTV VMAs afterparty and here’s why…
“I only go when there’s a point. Usually the point is just niggas drinking. But walking through the club the week after I released the ‘Control’ verse? That’s a point!”
