Mariah Carey is recovering from a minor injury to her shoulder, a rep for the diva confirms. Check out the details inside…
The queen of all high notes Mariah Carey was injured late Sunday night while shooting a scene for her music video for the remix of her song “#Beautiful” which features rapper Young Jeezy. The singer was taken to a hospital where doctors reset her shoulder. She tweeted,
“dislocated my shoulder on the remix video with Jeezy, sporting a very fashionable sling for the next couple of weeks!”
Her rep told the New York Post that the former “American Idol” judge is “fine” and “recovering at home.” Mariah’s husband Nick Cannon was directing the video on location at a pizza parlor in New York City.
The injury may have been caused by Mariah tripping and falling in a pair of high heels, which she is known to rock, even while at rest! Mariah is still scheduled to perform at this weekend’s MLB Hurricane Sandy Relief concert in Central Park.
Her new album is set to drop later this year, but in the meantime “#Beautiful” which features singer Miguel, is smoking on the charts, giving everyone life.
We wish you a speedy recovery, Mariah!
