Media mogul Oprah Winfrey described about her new job on Facebook saying, “I spent my first full week at OWN merging new staff with Harpo folks. Alignment is the first step in getting anything to work. I will say this, it’s 10 times harder than doing my daily show. Doin that show felt like breathing every day.”
Winfrey, who recently became CEO of the Oprah Winfrey Network, talked about her job situation when asked if she was “frazzled” by the new job, “Nope, not fazzled…I have faith that if I do what I’m supposed to – allow it to serve my purpose…I will succeed. All mag sales are down as we move ever more to digital. No regrets ending show. Onward!” It’s great to see Winfrey optimistic about her new job and the network, which recently reported declining ratings.
Oprah will be hosting her own show on OWN at 8 PM weeknights called “Oprah’s Lifeclass.” The show is set to start October 10th and will feature clips from the Oprah Winfrey Show. It seems another Oprah show will be the saving grace of her new station.
