All roads have led to New Orleans thanks to the Fourth of July Weekend and the 2015 Essence Festival; I had the chance to catch up with my girls Cynthia Bailey and Claudia Jordan as they got their party on at the Day Party put on by the homies over at Insight Marketing and the lovely Demetria McKinney. As the music played in the background, and the drinks flowed from room to room I got the chance to get the girls’s thoughts on NeNe Leakes surprised announcement about leaving the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ series.
Check out what the girls had to say below.
I got the chance to get my party on at the Metropolitan one of the dopest party spots in New Orleans before I made my way to the Essence Festival 2015 concert. I had to show my support for some of my favorite housewives. Naturally catching up with the beautiful Cynthia and Claudia the topic of work came up. Cynthia share her thoughts about NeNe’s surprised announcement,
“I think that there comes a time in your life where you have to do what’s best for you,” Bailey said at the ESSENCE Festival. “She will always be the original Atlanta housewife, she started this platform. If there was no Nene there would be no Cynthia, there would be no Kenya, there’d be no anyone on this show; I applaud her for stepping out and doing something else”
Claudia on the other hand has nothing but positive words for her former cast mate wishing NeNe nothing but success. Claudia has been dealing with a lot of things recently after being involved in a six-car pileup. Claudia tried to hit her brakes to avoid the two cars which were already in wreck; unfortunately she got rear-ended by the two cars behind her.
Claudia was blessed because she was able to get herself to the hospital. When something major like that happens to you; things change. The star is focusing on what’s important and she shared her thoughts about her accident,
‘Car accident. 6 cars involved. Got hit hard’ and she tweeted again ‘Got hurt today but glad we were able to walk away. It could have been so much worst. Thank God.’
Thank God Claudia is ok and the girls are in a great headspace.
The afternoon was all about partying and fun as they supported my girl Demetria McKinney as my friends over at Insight Marketing led by Kisha Walker. Today I am trying to piece together a dope white outfit so I can support Kisha Walker’s 17th annual all white party that’s taking place at the Essence Festival. All roads lead to New Orleans and everybody needs to swing by to get their all white party on!
