Bishop T.D. Jakles is suing Young Jeezy for sampling a sermon in his new album “Seen It All: The Autobiography”.

Check out the details below.

Bishop T.D. Jakes is going to sue Young Jeezy over the unauthorized sample of his sermon “Don’t Let The Chatter Stop You,” featured on the rapper’s  latest album Seen It All: The Autobiography.

The snippet is used in the rapper’s “Holy Ghost” remix featuring Kendrick Lamar, yet the famed spiritual leader says he never cleared the soundbite for use.

On Monday, Jakes posted to his official Facebook page:

“SPECIAL NOTICE: The ‘Holy Ghost’ remix by Jeezy featuring Kendrick Lamar was produced without the knowledge or consent of T.D. Jakes, TDJ Enterprises, Dexterity Music or its associated companies. We are taking the necessary legal actions to stop the unauthorized use of T.D. Jakes’ intellectual property.”

In the sample, Jakes says: “To tell myself, I’m still on fire. I’m under attack, but I’m still on fire. I got some chatter, but I’m still on fire. I got some threat, but I’m still on fire. I got some liabilities, but I’m still on fire. If it’s not amazing that I’m on fire. I’ve been to hell and back, but I’m still on fire.”

It remains unclear what these “legal actions” will mean for the rappers.

Young Jeezy and Lamar have yet to respond to Jakes.
