My girl Tameka Raymond is doing great works with her Kile’s World Foundation, will host the 2nd annual Kile’s World 5K Run/Walk Spring Festival scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the beautiful Chastain Park in Atlanta, GA. In celebration of the upcoming spring festival, all proceeds from the event will benefit the foundation’s art-based camps and workshops which include: singing, dance, art and illustration, music production and digital media.

My girl Tameka’s strength and resolve is absolutley amazing. This weekend Tameka will be surrounded by family, friends, fans, supporters and children of all ages to celebrate the life of her son Kile Glover. In the summer of 2012, Kile Glover, was only 11-years-old when a tragic jet-ski accident on Atlanta’s Lake Lanier ended his short life. Channeling her grief of the loss of her son, Tameka created theKile’s World Foundation project which benefits the children of the Atlanta community, but also honors Kile’s effervescent spirit and reflects his deep love of the performing arts.

Tamkea says,

“Kile is and will always be my muse. He inspires me to do great things both artistically and in general to help others. He was a guiding genius.”

Staying true to the foundation’s mission statement, ‘Gifting children with endless possibilities of creative endeavor through applied, fine and performing arts,’ the goal of Kile’s World Foundation is to ensure that children have a nurturing environment where inquisitiveness is encouraged, knowledge is shared and freedom to hone their crafts is assured.

Last year, the Kile’s World ‘Give Thanks’ 5k brought out over 250 of Atlanta’s community supporters including Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas of Bravo TV’s Real Housewives of Atlanta. Due to the success of the 5k, Kile’s World Foundation was able to successfully raise funds for their first ever two-week summer arts program. The goal for this year’s 5K spring festival is to increase the number of participants by 100%, providing enough funds to extend the summer program an additional two weeks summer 2014. The event will be spotlighted in Season 1 of VH-1’s Atlanta Exes starring Tameka Raymond, Monyetta Shaw (ex-fiancee of Ne-Yo), Christina Johnson (ex-wife of Cee-Lo), Sheree Buchanan (ex-wife of football star Ray Buchanan), and Torrei Hart (ex-wife of comedian Kevin Hart).

The 5K spring festival will be hosted at Chastain Park in Atlanta, GA. Registration starts at 9 a.m., with the race beginning at 11a.m., rain or shine. The tax-deductible early bird registration fee is $35 for all participants, which includes a Kile’s World Foundation t-shirt.
