While Fergie came out and told the media, maybe a month ago, that the Black Eyed Peas would be taking a break as a group, they are still collaborating together to help the community. On August 6th, the Black Eyed Peas teamed up with Adobe Youth Voices to show off the new Peabod Adobe Youth Voices Academy in San Jose, California. The academy is just one of the five that the group has helped to launch. It only makes sense the Black Eyed Peas would back a project like this because the academy caters to underprivileged teens who have a high interest in the arts. Will.I.Am. had this to say about the new school, “The Peapod Adobe Youth Voices Academies provide these youth with opportunities to advance their artistic and academic skills and channel their creative energy in ways we can only imagine. We are proud to help them make their voices heard”. To put the icing on the cake, 300 students will have the opportunity to enroll in this academy to learn more in depth about music, film, and art. What’s your take on the Black Eyed Pea’s academy?
